You’re tired, Mom. Here’s why.

In honor of Mother’s Day-have a nap! We know you’re tired! These could be reasons why:

  1. The neighbor’s dog is barking.
  2. Firecrackers. Somewhere.
  3. It was daylight savings time last month and you still haven’t recovered.
  4. You’re hungry and you can’t sleep but you are too tired to get up and make a snack.
  5. Your kid peed the bed.
  6. Your kid threw up in your bed.
  7. Your kid threw up in her bed.
  8. You threw up.
  9. You got your kid’s throw up in your hands.
  10. Your kid stepped on a cactus in the middle of the night.
  11. Your child can’t find his blanket.
  12. Your child’s pillow is too lumpy.
  13. Your teenager is out with friends.
  14. Your teen came home drunk.
  15. Your husband sleeps like a polecat on a leash.
  16. The dog needs to go out.
  17. You buckled and unbuckled baby dolls in the van 57 times.
  18. Musical beds. The adults never win.
  19. 4 shots of espresso doesn’t last long.
  20. You drank 4 shots of espresso and now you can’t sleep.
  21. Carrying laundry up and down stairs a bajillion times takes all your energy.
  22. The people who sleep in your bed talk in their sleep.
  23. People snore.
  24. You’re close to menopause and get night sweats.
  25. You got a muscle cramp and have been awake since 4:22 a.m.
